This Temperature Check was made in collaboration with Julian Maynard Smith for the Beyond Politics site at Parliament Square for XR‘s April rebellion 2019. Questions were written on the blackboards on both sides of the installation and could easily changed. It posed questions like “Should nature have legal rights?” and “Should there be a children’s citizens’ assembly?” It was particularly popular with children who enjoyed being able to ‘vote’ and see their voices visualised.
